A very dear, long-time friend of mine, Julie, was blessed with her firstborn baby early this morning. Her husband, Nathan, just called to tell me about it. He finished by saying, "So, you have a new little niece."
It surprised me how special that made me feel. :) Being the eldest of my ten siblings (none of whom are married yet), the status of aunthood has, up to this point, been uncharted territory. I've had many friends who have gotten married and had babies, but none that actually have dubbed me with the "aunt" title yet. It's a fun feeling. *grin*
So, my beautiful new "niece's" name is Cloe Renae, and her picture will be posted on this blog by her doting "auntie" as soon as her doting mommy and daddy can send one to me. O:-)
