The second profundity I was pondering at lunch today (see below for the first) was the DHL man. Or rather, the DHL man's uniform.
See, UPS guys just wear solid brown. Fed-Ex guys wear blue/purple colored polo shirts. The U.S. Postal Service has a light blue/navy blue uniform. But the poor DHL man has to wear an optically assaulting jersey of vibrant crimson with sunny yellow shoulders and sleeves. As he drove into our office parking lot in his truck of similarly-hued crimson and yellow, I felt sorry for him and wondered if children ever mistake him for Ronald McDonald when he is making deliveries.
