Josh is turning 23 today. Here he is with the wifey:

There was great rejoicing when Josh joined our family last year by marrying Dan's sister Merissa. Since we live so far away, Dan and I haven't gotten to spend as much time with Josh as we would like, but what we have seen has impressed us greatly. He is gentlemanly, kind, mature and responsible. He also serves a mean volleyball and can cook a pot of chili to feed a hundred (probably due to the fact that he's the oldest of nine kids). :)
Josh is currently completing undergraduate studies to become an architect at the University of Idaho. He graduates in December. After that he will begin his master's degree at Portland State (and will be moving back to the Portland area, which makes my in-laws very happy!).
Happy birthday, Josh! Hope you don't have to study too hard today and that you get some time to celebrate. :)
