On the radio this morning, it was reported that the temperature went up to 116 in Roseville yesterday. It was officially 111 at our house.
Plus, we had a power outage in the afternoon for about 2 hours.
Ridiculously high temperatures and rolling blackouts. I now feel like a real Californian. *grin* Braving some of these uber-hot California days is like a rite of passage here in Sacramento. It's the first thing the locals tell you about after you move here.
It wasn't so bad. It did make me exceptionally grateful for two things however: air conditioning and our gloriously shaded swimming pool. :)
Now all we need is an earthquake, a forest fire and a mudslide and we'll be thoroughly patriated. ;)
